1. A Cabin By The Stream
Handbuilt from mountain-top cherry trees and skidded to the streamside — this authentic vintage log cabin from the 1930s is the most beloved retreat near Cherry Springs. You get the entire cabin and grounds to yourself, nestled beside a private trout stream with a fire kettle glowing under a sky full of stars.
Cherry Springs State Park is a short drive away — a Gold Level Internationally designated Dark Sky Park with zero light pollution. On a clear night you'll see up to 30,000 stars, the Milky Way, and meteor showers. The hosts will connect you with a private astronomer for a guided star tour, and point you toward the PA Grand Canyon, Kinzua Bridge Skywalk, Rainbow Paradise Trout Farm, and the PA Elk Herd.
Bunk room sleeps six comfortably with a full kitchen, cable TV, and high-speed internet. Pet-friendly ($75/pet fee). Easy lockbox self check-in. Be sure to choose a cabin in the dark skies area — many listings are more than 90 minutes away from the park.
